The markets of Agrabah were filled with all kinds of interesting things, carpets, clothing, food, but for Hotaru the lamps were far more appealing. They had lamps in all different shapes, colors and sizes. A tiny cute blown pink glass oil lamp caught her eye and once the object had been purchased and carefully wrapped Hotaru made her way back toward the house.
That was when she noticed the older senshi slipping out.

“Haruka-san?”

While always ready for a battle for some reason she seemed even more prepared today. Maybe it was that she already had her space sword out.

“Is there something wrong?”

The sound of her name caught Haruka's attention, and she looked around. Wrong form for that name, dammit, but-- oh, she'd put up with it from Hotaru. Sort of. She held up a finger in mock-censure. "Shhhh, Hotaru, I'm in disguise, right?"

Which obviously meant nothing was really wrong, or Haruka wouldn't be teasing her.

Oh that was embarrassing and Hotaru's cheeks instantly colored as she was teased about it. At least there hadn't been anyone close enough to overhear the faux pas.

"Gomen." More shyly then she asked, "Is there any trouble Sailor Uranus or are you just heading out for something else?"

"Heartless hunting," Haruka-- Uranus, now, yup-- answered with a shrug and a wry smile, coming over to pat her foster-daughter's shoulder. "It's something useful to do, anyway. What about you?" She eyed the package Hotaru was carrying. "Shopping?"

At the loving pat Hotaru smiled and proudly held up her purchase. Of course what is actually inside the carefully wrapped package can't be seen but she described it as if the protective wrap wasn't completely obscuring the object.

"I found the cutest lamp. It's very small and made of pink glass! I will have to show you when I unwrap it."

Hotaru was very excited by that idea too, showing her 'Haruka-papa' her great new lamp!
But after describing what could only be the beginnings of a new lamp collection Hotaru becomes a bit more serious.

"I could come to. The heartless can be difficult to deal with alone."

Talking about Uranus's plans to wander off and fight heartless on her own. Uranus could handle it of course but after having faced them several times herself it just felt wiser to Hotaru to make certain no senshi ending up fighting them alone.

Oh right, Hotaru's obsession with lamps. It was kind of cute, really, if a bit funny to see in her reborn state, and in another world entirely. The rest of the comment, though, was the part she replied to, after just a grin at Hotaru's enthusiasm over her hobby.

"I'm not afraid of a few little monsters," she assured the girl, still looking a little amused, but fond at the same time. "They aren't even as bad as a daimon, let alone a phage. But I don't mind company, if you're in the mood to smash some, with me." Usually Uranus liked to fight alone, but there were a few exceptions, obviously.

She hurried inside to set her package down on the counter top and reappeared a moment later as Sailor Saturn.

"They aren't very strong physically but they can be trouble," she smiled, "So I will go with you."

As much to watch out for the other senshi as to spend some quality time with her. It sounds like it could be fun fighting heartless with Haruka papa.

Waiting semi-patiently outside, Uranus gave a wolfish sort of grin at her foster-daughter's reappearance. Not that Hotaru was very daughterly as Sailor Saturn-- she was stronger than all of them put together, if as dangerous to her own person as to any enemies. Uranus didn't like thinking about it too much, to be honest.

"All right, then, what are we waiting for?" She pointed with her sword towards the desert. "Let's go kick some Heartless tail."

"Hai!"

Sailor Saturn waited for Uranus to point the direction and followed along behind as fast as she could. She was no where near matching the running speed of the other senshi but she managed to at least keep her in sight until they made their way out to the desert.
The heartless were far more plentiful out in the wilds. Even as Saturn stopped to catch her breath the heartless began to draw closer, intrigued by the 'hearts' that had just arrived in their territory.

Though her strongest power was obviously off-limits, Uranus expected the glaive to come in handy, and the silent wall. For the moment, she gave her foster-daughter another quick grin as she caught up-- she'd tried not to run too fast, since she had company who couldn't necessarily keep up and she didn't feel like leaving behind-- and she opened the activities with the bejeweled sword held high and slashed through the air.

"Space Sword Blaster!"

The arcs of searing hot energy flew unerringly at the nearest couple Heartless.

Saturn twirled her glaive in dramatic fashion as she took up a position next to the other senshi and waited for the heartless who hadn't been hit with Uranus's first attack to draw in closer. They always seemed to attack in packs, a group drawing in from the front followed soon thereafter by a company slithering in from behind. The initial frontal attack group was devastated as Sailor Uranus's powerful attack cut through their ranks and destroyed many of the front line heartless. There would be more to fill in the gaps though. With the heartless there were always more waiting in the shadows.

As soon as the first shadow heartless rose up from the ground near her feet Saturn whacked it with the blunt end of her staff. Oddly enough it turned into a pseudo game of 'whack-a-mole' with each heartless that tried to grab onto her shoes receiving a similar strike to the head. Finally one of the creatures became bold enough to rise up from the sand in front of the younger senshi and attempt a more direct assault. This one met with the sharp end as the glaive cleaved through him causing the creature to disintegrate into those colorful supplies they so often left behind when they disappeared.

"Be careful Uranus! They are trying to grab us from below where it's difficult to fight them!"

"Maybe with something that big," Uranus chuckled darkly. Her sword, though, was light and quick and much easier to wield in close quarters than a glaive. She kicked aside the one clinging to her own foot and charged the darker senshi.

"Space Sword Blaster!"

The arcs of energy hit the sand, rather than Saturn, and it flew up everywhere-- as did small monster-bits.

Saturn jumped backward as Sailor Uranus's attack hit. The strike was no where near to hitting the smaller soldier but it did make the sand shift as it impacted the ground. To prevent sliding downhill into the little crater left behind where the heartless had been she had to leap to the safety of the more secure sand further up the dune.

She nodded to the Uranus once her footing was more stable. A 'thanks for the assist' kind of gesture.

"Jupiter Oak Evolution!" The sailor-suited girl shouted. The energy shot out from her and struck several of the heartless mob, forcing them to disappear in the process. The money the creatures had collected scattered out over the sand. Once she was sure there were no other enemies in the immediate vicinity, Jupiter wiped her brow with the back of her hand before going over to collect what they'd left behind.

"... There must be a better way to make some cash here.." She mouthed to herself not relishing in the idea of attacking these things for money. At least it was also for a good cause.. but... the sooner she found an occupation the better.

Hearing a loud sound from a few blocks over, Jupiter jolted back to her feet. "What was that?! Someone could be in trouble!" She left the rest of the treasure and raced down the alleys eager to help if help were needed.

Somehow, Uranus had missed the horde of Heartless coming up behind her as she destroyed the trio in front of her. Two had been taken care of by a World Shaking, and the third, stupidly tiny, had gotten stomped on. And then, while she'd shaken her head and looked in disgust at the remains, she'd been taken by surprise from behind.

Now she was running, in an attempt to get herself enough space to turn around and blast the lot of them, and growling to herself. "This never would've happened if I'd waited for Neptune," she grumbled.

She was completely oblivious to Jupiter in the alley at cross-ways from her, up until the other girl came charging out in front of her. "Oi!" she barked, and skidded hastily to keep from smacking right into her. Which meant she could kiss the lead she'd been building up good-bye.

Despite how the sun was beating down on Agrabah the alleyways were quite shaded by the proximity of the buildings and the rich fabrics that had been hung out to dry overhead. There was no way to know what would await her on the other side. Keeping her pace swift and even she barreled forward eager to close the gap between herself and the disturbance.

When she reached the other side, she was only too surprised to almost run headlong into a fellow senshi. "Uranus!?" Makoto exclaimed, trying desperately to alter her own course. The heel of her boot slipped deeper into the sand and sent her toppling backward, her rear hit the ground in a most undignified manner. ".. Ng!"

There was no time to let humiliation consume her, with renewed determination, she picked herself off the ground. "What are you-" She trailed off when her eyes spotted the horde behind her compatriot. "There are so many of them!"

"Yeah, well." Uranus didn't bother with much of an apology, she just took Jupiter's elbow to help haul her to her feet. She, of course, had managed to keep her balance. Of course! "Better start running." And that's exactly what she did: she paused long enough to kick the nearest of the little beasts before it could chomp onto her boot, gave Jupiter's arm a little tug, and then broke into a run again.

"Need a little room to work, right?" she called over her shoulder, grinning just a little.

Nor did Makoto expect one. It had clearly been an accident that the two had run into each other. All the same she did feel the need to apologize herself,"Sorry about that, I should have looked where I was going". The help up was appreciated, it was a great relief to have fellow senshi one could rely on.

It took the extra tug to get Jupiter started. She took off running, trying to pace with Uranus but she was so fast! There was no way she could entirely keep up.

"Right! Then we'll really show them!" As the duo raced through the city, Makoto looked for the first opportunity to strike.

Why were all these other senshi so slow? Uranus always wondered a little about it. Michiru always managed to keep up without too much trouble. As she pulled ahead, though, she took the usual failing into account, and spun around the instant she had enough room, aiming to give Jupiter a little breathing space of her own.

"World Shaking!"

The closest few Heartless to Jupiter went up in smoke, leaving behind the usual junk. They could collect it later.

It should have been hard for most people to keep pace with a track runner, it was a wonder someone as elegant as Michiru was also so athletic! Jupiter looked surprised as Uranus turned, not having realized how close the heartless had gotten to her. She hurried out of the way and let the attack lay waste to their followers. "If we could just lead them into a big enough clearing!" Jupiter called, hesitant to unleash one of her electrical attacks so close to the villagers.

"Lets try to lead them closer to the cave of wonders, there's plenty of open space there" It was a wonder to her that Uranus's attacks hadn't already struck one of the buildings or caused collateral damage. If they were going to protect these people, they also needed to be careful.

"Anywhere in the desert ought to do fine," Uranus agreed, and took off again, this time for the nearest exit to the city. She didn't know about going all the way out to that cave-- she was curious admit it, admittedly, but it didn't seem like a monster in need of defeating so she hadn't been curious enough-- but getting out onto the sand would probably do them good. Not that she'd relish not having a wall to put to her back, but she and Jupiter could use each other for that.

This time, she wasn't going to try and get them a breather until they were far enough out that nobody'd be complaining if she just let loose.

After a certain incident about a month or so prior, Ciel had taken it upon himself to make the next delivery to Agrabah. Usually, he wouldn't bother with such a menial task, but here he was. He'd just managed to deliver the parcel of flowers before he noticed a strange figure in one of those deplorably short uniforms. While he was already aware of some of the senshi's identities.. not all of them were known to him. He discretely tried to follow her, his curiosity taking hold.

If Uranus decided to travel at any sort of speed, Ciel would more than likely lose her. Yes he might be wondering what the senshi was up to but no.. he wasn't going to run after her.

If confronted, he would simply act as though he was browsing in the market and they just happened to have been heading in the same direction.

It took Uranus exactly three streets to figure out she was being followed. She didn't turn to look, not any more than someone would normally do when crossing the street or turning a corner anyway, but that same young man was there each time she did glance behind her. Besides, that itchy feeling that came about when one was being watched wasn't going away.

Uranus was curious, herself, and not about to let the guy disappear on her without her having the chance to ask what the hell his problem was. So she let him, pretending she hadn't noticed, and kept up her brisk walk towards the edge of the city. If he followed her that far, past the crowd of the marketplace, she'd turn the tables on him. Maybe.

Where exactly was this senshi going? The boy thought to himself, growing weary of this mind-numbingly boring chase. Ciel didn't have a lot of patience to begin with so it was already wearing out. Normally, he would have sent his butler to do such a menial task but Sebastian was preoccupied on another project. Ciel was certainly missing the ability to delegate his work onto other people....

Seeing where she was headed forced a frown to his lips. It wouldn't be easy to blend in past this point. He tried to be a bit more inconspicuous but he hadn't given up yet. If she were leaving the city.. perhaps to venture into the desert... he could find a different way to depart. Ciel took a detour between a few buildings and then weaved his way between them in order to get near an exit. Losing sight of his target was irritating but it was best that he not give himself away.

When he rounded the last corner before the city gates.... that's when he ran into the largest heartless he had ever seen.. and this one could breath fire.

What great timing. Uranus had been expecting to get outside of town before getting to attack anything. She had been planning on circling around behind her follower when she spotted the Heartless thing, and though it wasn't focused on her, she was perfectly happy to make good use of the distraction.

"World shaking!" she yelled, pulling the blast of golden energy from the very air-- she fancied that the heat and dryness of the desert made it all the more potent-- and launching it at the monster while it was looking at something other than her.

Before he could even think of drawing his gun or calling out for help, the large heartless fell forward. It's weak point, the back, had been exposed to the full force of Uranus's attack. There would have been no way it could have escaped. Instinctively, Ciel took a step backwards even though he was well out of the heartless's way. As the creature dissolved both senshi and her young stalker would come face to face.

Drawing in a breath, Ciel tried to settle his nerves. Even though the heartless were a part of everyday existence in these worlds that didn't mean he was used to their impromptu appearances.

"Well, that was easier than expected," Uranus snorted, striding up to the creature's remains and her erstwhile stalker. She focused more in him than on the junk the heartless left behind, since he had been following her, and all. "Did you want something, kid?"

Nevermind that she had no idea how old Ciel was, but he was small and had a soft sort of face, and she called most anyone who she figured to be younger than her "kid" anyway.

Somehow, Ciel doubted that the senshi was referring to the heartless despite how easy the fight had been. "You were aware I was there the whole time.." He stated as if it needed to be. "That would explain it.." Why she didn't seem to have been going anywhere important. If someone had been following him, he certainly would have tried to mislead them as well. "I was merely curious what sort of business brought you here. I rarely see one of your lot traipsing about without there being some cause for it." That and he was curious to her identity. Only a few of the senshi alter egos were known to him.

Normally he wouldn't allow someone to call him "kid" so easily, but having been caught red-handed he'd let it slide this time. It might be to his advantage.

"Maybe not that whole time," Uranus admitted with a smirk, the toe of her blue suede boot nudging whatever junk the monster dropped, and rested the sword on her shoulder. "But for a while. I wasn't going anywhere in particular-- I'm just monster hunting. Maybe not so exciting for some people, but somebody's got to do it."

And it kept her from feeling too useless and stagnant, anyway.

It was hard to ignore the sound of Heartless falling under the hand of Sailor Uranus's Space Sword. Ami was not all too eager to flex her senshi muscles, so to speak, but Minako had told her the dangers of the Heartless, and the threat they were to their princess, and to each other. The thought to retreat had not once crossed her mind, but she was not one to rashly throw herself head-first into the action.

Transformed into Sailor Mercury, she pulls out her super computer and makes her way towards the outskirts that have become the senshi's latest battleground. She knew full well that Uranus (and presumably, Neptune) preferred to work independently of the other senshi, so Mercury was perfectly content remaining in the background, serving as support.

Upon her approach, it appeared to Mercury that Uranus had wiped the field (or desert, as it were) clear of her adversaries, but time and again she knew that appearances were deceiving, and these Heartless were a particularly tricky foe. With a twist of her earring, Mercury's visor materialized before her eyes, going straight to work to detect signals of any straggling Heartless in the area.

It would probably be helpful if she had a good, solid reading of one as it appeared, though, in order to recognize one in hiding. But all in good time, most certainly. For now, she had to take measures to not become a liability for Uranus.

The motion behind her made Uranus glance sidelong over her shoulder. She had a moment to catch her breath, with the litter left behind by the Heartless all around, so though she was still on alert, she could at least see who was behind her. The size, after all, meant it wasn't another of the Heartless.

Heh, look who showed up. With her computer and everything. At least some things never changed, did they? Uranus lifted the sword in a little salute to her fellow senshi. "Come to fight, too?"

Mercury offered a small smile at Uranus's acknowledgement. It probably wasn't her intent, but the question seemed to imply that Uranus felt that Mercury could actually carry her weight in the realm of combat.

"I figured you wouldn't mind a bit of back-up." She gestured with her computer slightly. "I could save you some time by pointing you in the direction of more Heartless clusters."

And there were plenty, that was for certain. "Need to catch your breath for a moment?" There were a few safe spots they could retreat to as well, if they wanted to regroup.

"Me? Catch my breath? You're asking the wrong senshi." Uranus pushed herself up from her knees, determined to look strong even if it wasn't necessary. The only person here to impress was Mercury, after all, but she still couldn't resist the urge.

Mercury's computer, though, did seem to be potentially useful at the moment. She rested her sword on her shoulder and asked, "Which way to the nearest trouble?"

"I suppose that's true..." Mercury gives Uranus a weak smile. Had she said something offensive? She didn't mean to imply that Uranus was unable to keep up with her battles...

Uranus's question stopped that train of thought before it went too far downhill, and Mercury looked back to her computer. "Honestly, it'd be easier to tell you where there isn't trouble." She punched a few keys on her hand-held device and glanced over her shoulder. "There's something coming up from behind."

Perfect. Uranus leaned over a bit to look past Mercury, grinning a bit more. "So they are trackable." Wouldn't that Rumple-guy be pissed if he knew. "Well. Shall we?"

She didn't know if Mercury wanted to actually participate, or just play back-up, but she'd give the kid a chance. She knew Mercury at least knew how to play to her own strengths.

Mercury couldn't help but crack a mildly self-congratulatory smile. It was not every day that she felt useful to the Outer Senshi, who could most certainly hold their own on the battle field, so it was a nice feeling to feel useful.

"I distinguished the readings between yourself and the Heartless you were fighting earlier and was able to find near-identical readings in the nearby buildings."

Yaten was so unfamiliar with this place he just looked around. It seemed all rather middle east to him with carpets, scmitars and market sellers in the street. He was no where near home now. A noise in the distance made him turn around. What was going on?

He decided to follow the noise and head in the direction of whatever it was. Then he saw it. Was that-

....a senshi power? It looked like some kind of magical sword, held by...Sailor Uranus? He shook his head and walked towards the commotion.

"Hey, are you alright?"

The commotion was Uranus driving the sword through the last of a trio of Heartless that had wandered too close to the market itself. She kicked it off her blade halfway through its dissolve process, and looked up at the familiar and completely unexpected voice.

She stared, somewhere between abject surprise and obvious annoyance. "Yaten Kou?" she exclaimed.

He nodded slowly as he looked at her. "Hello, Haruka-chan." He felt rather awkward at adressing her. They had never really talked much in the past. What was even going on here? She was in some kind of fight with a monster of some sort.

"I've just arrived here and I'm not sure what is going on." He looked at the beast she just killed and swallowed.

Haruka... chan? Haruka-chan? Uranus was a lot less forgiving of being called her real name by Yaten than she was of Hotaru making the slip. But then, she liked Hotaru.

"Sailor Uranus. If you please." Despite the somewhat polite words, her tone was sharp, and she gestured at her uniform with the now-free sword. The monster in question finished its dissolve, leaving behind the usual junk for trade with Moogles. "Didn't the Moogles explain everything? They did for me."

Of all the people to show up, it had to be Yaten. Sailor Star Healer. The brattiest of the three Starlights.

She seemed a little put out by Yaten's appearance. He didn't want to seem imposing on her or anything. Trust her to be annoyed with him though. He shrugged it off for now. "Forgive me, Huruka-chan- I mean Sailor Uranus." He felt himself blush then looked away.

"Moogles? Uh...." He just stood there and didn't know what else to say. This was difficult.

There he went again with the "chan". Did Yaten for some reason think they were friends? She glared irritably at him, hefting her sword to rest on her shoulder. "Those little furry things that were there when you woke up? In Traversu Town? Don't tell me you just appeared here in Agurabah."

She didn't quite say Agrabah right, since she kept wanting to put that extra syllable in there. Or Traverse, for that matter.

"Oh, those." He looked rather embarrassed because he was looking stupid in front of Uranus. "I met them, yes. Strange things, aren't they?" He wasn't sure what else to say to her. He had never got on that well with her in the past. "Is Michiru here in this world also?" He had to ask.

It wasn't surprising to see Haruka on her way out and about and in the mood to fight off the little darkness creatures that seemed to thrive in so much of this place. After all, Michiru was well aware that the other woman got restless without some purpose, something to occupy her time and her hands.

So when she caught sight of the other senshi leaving, well, it was far too tempting not to follow along.

She gave the blonde a headstart, transforming herself and following after. It was a bit of a game really, to see how closely she could follow before her partner realized that she wasn't alone.

Smiling to herself, for now, she kept to the rooftops.

The prickly being-watched sensation didn't really apply when the one watching you was your lover and partner, so it took Uranus a bit longer than she might have otherwise to realize that the flash of color and movement she kept catching at the occasional turn of her head was actually keeping pace with her.

Then, of course, she was curious. Not concerned-- she could handle herself-- but curious. So she stopped near the edge of the city, with the desert sprawling out not far ahead of her, and waited while she looked out, looking for all the world like she was just thinking and not actually waiting.

Oh? Had she been noticed then? Smiling just a bit to herself, Neptune slowed. Trying to keep herself in Uranus' blind spot. She drops down from the ledge she's watching from, landing relatively silently on her feet.

Straightening up, she moves towards her, slowly.

Sneaking up on as capable a fighter as Uranus might be a little on the dangerous side, but Neptune was fairly sure Haruka would realize it was her.
