It's a ballroom blitz!

WHO: Tidus, Padmé, Obi-Wan.
LOCATION: Destiny Islands.
TIME: Backdated to the 13th or so of September.
WHAT: Padmé and Obi-Wan go to visit Tidus and see about taking him up on his offer about learning blitzball.
RATING: No higher than PG-13, probably.

To say the least, piloting the gummi ship went a lot more smoothly with Padmé in the ship instead of Leroy. He'd already made up his mind that he didn't like the fact that these ships ran off smiles; it was far too unreliable. And what if something dire was going on? Not only did they have to focus on that task, but they had to somehow manage to be happy enough to get themselves there. Or maybe he was just thinking too much into this. With plenty of practice and familiarizing himself with the controls, he hoped it would come easier.

He got them to Destiny Islands without a hitch and once they were securely in the gummi port, Obi-Wan slid out of the pilot's seat.

"Shall we?" he offered, opening the door to the ship for the Senator.

She hadn't even thought of telling Qui-Gon - perhaps she was growing used to the idea of keeping things from Masters - and so she only shook her head at Obi-Wan. Of course, if she had to use it against him later she knew she could. After all, she was a politician, and they were not to be trusted.

"Even with his tricks, he doesn't stand a chance," she laughed, moving to stand beside Tidus. She was happy to at least be on the same team as the "star player," especially since it meant she couldn't mess up the game.

But she could really only tease Obi-Wan so much, so she reached out to pat his arm gently. "Careful, though. Obi-Wan achieves anything he puts his mind to."

Winning is not my priority.

Tidus shook his head frantically as if Obi-Wan had just announced he was going to stop being a Jedi and become an assassin. "You made your first mistake when you said winning's not your priority. It should always be your priority. If you don't go in aiming for victory, you lose before the game even starts." Sports were serious.

"So do I. And you do too, don't you?" He nodded at Padmé with a lighthearted smile.
