everybody's been there and i don't mean on vacation.

WHO: [livejournal.com profile] violontides & [livejournal.com profile] musicite ( closed )
LOCATION: Agrabah,
TIME: Afternoonish?
WHAT: The two meet in order to get a better understanding of one another -- through their music.
RATING: PG?

That knotted feeling, in that base of her stomach -- that was the result of not having shared with the other outer senshi as of her whereabouts. It wasn't that she'd lied -- she simply... didn't share the information openly. Something about this young man and his music... it compelled her to find out more. She was sure that it was the influence the Princess had on her that drove her onward -- remembering the arrival of the Sailor Starlights, and that perhaps... if she had been a little less cold, they could have made it even a little bit farther. For Sailormoon's sake...

She cleared her throat, surprised by her own naïve thoughts, and shook herself free of the mentality. She couldn't be foolish and completely let her guard down.

The location shouldn't have been too hard to find -- the rooftop of one of the local businesses. A normal person probably would have difficult time of reaching it. It was best to make sure that they were away from the view of the general public. There, she waited, her arms crossed over her chest as she second guessed the decision to even arrange it.

If Zoisite had doubts, they didn't show in the least. He stood by the edge of the rooftop, letting the breeze play with the edges of his cloak. He did not turn around when Neptune arrived.

"Neptune." He spoke softly, tasted the sound of the name. "You have come arrayed for battle?"

He seemed to take no real offense. But then, he was hard to read. "If we are to show each other the nature of our music, perhaps this is best," he suggested.

With little else to draw him towards an unknown sailor senshi, he began immediately.

"I do not need the piano to show you my music. Do you have your violin?"

[identity profile] musicite.livejournal.com 2011-10-28 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
"You should already know about the distant past," Zoisite remarked, still looking across the rooftops rather than directly at Neptune. However, there would be differences.

"I will show you." He lifted his hands, as though his piano were there after all, and the faint strains of music began to fill the air.

His voice, as much as his music, guided her memories.

"In the distant past, like you, we protected the planet." He could still hardly believe he could no longer, right now, say 'this planet'. "You should know this."

His own memories, of course, focus on the shitennou: a group of four men who, in the memories, seem to share one heart. The younger two, boisterous and competitive, carried out their rambunctious antics under the tolerant gaze of the elder two.

If only it could end there. But if it ended there, it wouldn't have ended.

"The Moon and Earth were forbidden to meet. However, we were unable to separate them... Master and Princess." No different, of course, to the senshi who had known it was wrong and forbidden and dangerous for Serenity to sneak off to see Endymion.

No more memories of pleasant sunlit forests; there is fire and brimstone and chaos. Panic.

"When the war came, our master was struck down. And thus, the princess destroyed that world and the past life with the power of the ginzuishou."

He does not shrink from these words, just as he will not shrink from telling the crimes of the shitennou afterward, though his grey eyes flicker towards Neptune as he speaks them.

"That is correct." He offers no words of consolation or reassurance; the truth is, he still blames her. It's Kunzite's words assuring him that the curses of the past were broken that have kept him from solving them his own way.

Ironic, that; a twist of timelines and fates that only this place could have brought together. But after so long begging Kunzite to try to forgive and to trust, he can only do the same when his friend gives him solid assurances.

Power is power, in his world; if nothing else, the crystal and Metalia were entirely bound together. He glances, finally, at the wordless Neptune.

"You have no words in her defense?"

[identity profile] musicite.livejournal.com 2011-11-03 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
"The sailor senshi said the same until she confessed to it." He does not believe the pretty words so easily; despite Kunzite's assurances, the princess is a danger until the events that ended the past life finally come to pass.

"You say it was different?" This is possible. He has great mental abilities, but he is no psychic. He cannot see the possibilities of other worlds clearly.

He nods, and lifts his hands, bringing them free of his sleeves. He begins to play, and his music entwines hers perfectly, piano and violin wrapped around each other in perfect synch and harmony.

It's so similar to what he's shown her, except for that last moment, except for the form which the princess' panic took. He does not seem disturbed by the story, or the images and memories it conjures up under his power and their music.

"And then?" He asks it softly, prompting her to go further. In his world, their lives all became about the goal of preventing that past from repeating. Hers...?

"Sailor Moon still leads her sailor senshi by the nose," Zoisite observes. He has never had any liking for the often silly girl. Her closeness to his master does the opposite of endearing him to her: he worries for Endymion's safety.

"Be sure there will be no repetition in this world," he warns. He will take her life himself if necessary to prevent it.

He nodded, whether accepting Neptune's assurances or whether simply considering the subject to be laid out clearly now.

"I have no intent to harm her at this time," he decides to clarify, after Kunzite's annoyance over the senshi's constant suspicions. "However, if it becomes necessary, I will not allow her life to be saved at the expense of these worlds."

[identity profile] musicite.livejournal.com 2011-11-06 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
He does not shrink away from what was done, though it's not hard to find his own resentment in the telling: Beryl.

"We were revived by Beryl, using the power of Metalia. We were unable to separate from her to seek our master while she held that power."

And the senshi. "The sailor senshi were awakened to fight the Dark Kingdom's youma until their princess was revealed once more."

[identity profile] musicite.livejournal.com 2011-11-07 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
"My fate will be with my master." This is no answer, and he knows it. But it is the only answer he has; no, it is even the only compass he has. From Kunzite, he knows there is freedom ahead of them; that is good. He knows they will even be whole once more; good.

He does not know the things Kunzite is avoiding saying.

[identity profile] musicite.livejournal.com 2011-11-07 08:23 am (UTC)(link)
Every word has been genuine, from his claim not to be the senshi's enemy any longer to his open admission that he will still go against them if he must to protect what he loves above all. He will not avoid it for any sentiment's sake.

"You have that sort of belief?" he questions her mildly. His world never lent itself to optimism. He does not denounce it, though he does not embrace it. "We shall see."

Working together is quite possible. If he were to discover a way to restore his world alone, he would leave the other worlds to their fates.
