WHO: Mizuno Ami & Kanda Yu
LOCATION: Agrabah
TIME: Eve of the event.
WHAT: Kinda is climbin' through your windows, snatchin' up a girl with short hair and short skirt, and he's madly in love with her.
RATING: PG-13 for now?
Kanda didn't even know what hit him. One minute he was trying to drag Allen out of a hostile situation and the next he had the strong urge to see someone. To see her, that blue-haired girl: Ami. Everything had changed from then on, Allen had left muttering who knows what and he hadn't wasted any time. For once in his time here flying with a gummi ship was easy. Why wouldn't it be when all he could think about was her.
His memories were still firm, Cupid's arrows hadn't affected that, and all he could think about was their meetings and their conversation. He hadn't exactly been prince charming but he didn't care about that, what the hell did she expect. It wasn't like he had ever disrespected her, at least not to the point of shame. The entire ride to Agrabah went by like a daze. All he could think about was her eyes, her hair, those incredibly long legs of hers- if ships were fused by happiness than this was definitely the closest he had ever gotten to it. When he arrived the town was asleep, it was dark but that didn't stop Kanda. He knew where Ami lived and he didn't hesitate to make his way there. He didn't bother with breaking through the door, she was probably asleep and wouldn't hear. Instead, he walked around searching the paneless windows until he found one easy enough to open. He did it as casually as possible before creeping inside and shutting it again.
To his luck, he had just jumped inside Ami's room. He hesitated moving closer to the bed barely spotting her nightgown underneath the blankets that were covering her. He couldn't help but smile. The girl. It was almost infuriating how innocent she seemed.
"Ami. Wake up."
He knelt down beside her bed and reached out to stroke her hair. Like hell he was going to wait. He needed to speak with her. Right now. Sleep could wait.
"Ami, wake up. I need to talk to you."

"Ami, wake up. I need to talk to you."
[1/2]
It still took her sleep-muffled mind several moments to go from the dream into waking, and from waking into the realization that-
[2/2] ignore icon form, is Ami XD
"Kanda-san?" Wait, wait- WAIT! Ami grabbed for the covers and blankets to keep herself modest, despite the thick nightgown already doing a good job of it.
"Has something happened? A heartless attack?!"

"It's nothing like that. Calm down." He ordered her, pulling his hand away to grip at his own knee. He felt nervous, he wanted to say things but he couldn't because he just didn't know how. "We need to talk."
no subject
"What is it? It must be something important at this hour." She hadn't meant that as a complaint, precisely, but was he aware of what time it was?
no subject
"Well, you see-"
But how could he start? He had never talked about this, he had always made it a point to ignore stuff like this and here he was. He leaned back, he leaned front, he looked down and rubbed at his forehead.
"Look, this isn't easy for me so I'm just going to say it. I like you. I really like you. I-I don't know what's going on I just know I had to see you and I had to at least tell you that I like you. Okay?" So close to the end he started sounding pissed. What could he say, he felt out of his zone and it was really bothering him that he needed her to know this.
no subject
"But!" she burst out, but she wasn't sure where to go with the sentence or how to frame the words. "But so suddenly?"
It was definitely sudden. She was sure she irritated and upset him! And now he was telling her this? How could she take it all in so quickly?
no subject
"Look, I just needed to tell you that so if you don't like me, just say it. I'll be on my way." But he didn't want to leave, he didn't want her to tell her no. He paced around her bedroom.
no subject
"If I don't like you..." she repeated in no small uncertainty. She hadn't even... hadn't even considered that type of relationship and she's pretty sure neither did he, until today.
"I can't really answer that so quickly!" she protested. "I... I don't really know myself. We only met a short while ago, and..." How to put it tactfully? "And it seemed like we didn't always see eye to eye."
Not that friends couldn't argue. Not that lovers couldn't, even. But... she hadn't seen this sort of feeling in him.
no subject
What he did know was that Ami wasn't rejecting him. She didn't say no. He looked away for a moment and returned back, moving a little closer to the bed she was sitting by.
"So time. That's what you need."
no subject
How to?
or whether she wanted to?
He matched her in a lot of ways, not the same as her but complementary. She enjoyed his company when they got along. When they didn't, she felt awkward, but she was growing to see it as... people with different viewpoints, rather than personal.
Why was she even thinking about this? She couldn't. She had many more things on her mind here, especially with senshi recently arrived. And Maleficent taking root! She had to do something... (He was even closer now!)
Or maybe it was just easier to ponder enemies and battles than romance. For that matter, time would make sure he wasn't just altered in his mind (sleepwalking?)
"Time," she clung to the word as if it was a lifeline. "I need time."
no subject
"Then have your time." And he brought it to his lips to kiss the back of her hand. Very old fashioned but the guy had manners. His master had taught him a few things, he just never bothered using them. "And don't look at me like that. I'm not that terrifying."
no subject
"Ami-chan!"
She wasn't Makoto, but she could still fight and she was still protective over her friends. Perhaps against her better judgment, she didn't even try to wait for an explanation.
"What are you doing in here?! Get away from her!" she snapped, surging forward like a fire and aiming an elegant but quick strike with her foot at Kanda's chest.
no subject
"Wait! Rei-chan!" But by the time Ami realized just what Rei was about to do, it was too late to stop it. "He's not-"
... a bad person. doing anything wrong. hurting me. that sort of guy. Ami's head snapped towards Kanda to be sure he wasn't hurt.
no subject
"What the hell do you think you're doing, idiot."
Couldn't she see she was uninvited? Sure, he had broken in through a window but it wasn't like Ami had a problem with it.
no subject
"Stopping you from doing something to Ami," she answered without missing a beat. "Let go."
She wrenched back on her foot with a good deal of force, trying to force him to let it go. As much as she didn't want to, she wasn't beyond sending a fireball into his face if her foot couldn't do it. Briefly, she shot a look at Ami. Don't just stand there! Kick him in the shins!
no subject
"Rei-chan! Kanda-san!!" She certainly never meant for this to happen. She couldn't blame Kanda for defending himself, but she didn't want to see him fighting a friend of hers, either!
"Please calm down. Rei-chan, it's alright! He didn't do anything wrong!"
It sounded lame even to her when she made the only threadbare, truthful excuse she could: "We were just talking. I know it's an unusual time for it, but..." Don't hurt him?
no subject
"You heard her. How about you turn around, walk out that door, and mind your own damned business. We were talking."
In the middle of the night but he was talking. She hadn't screamed so clearly he wasn't uninvited. So to speak.
no subject
"He broke into your room in the middle of the night, Ami-chan. You're just alright with that?" she prompted, unsure.
She knew her friend could take care of herself, but she was still worried and she still didn't trust this guy. That's when she turned back on him again.
"And you didn't answer my question. What are you doing here?"
no subject
"We can all talk this out without fighting, can't we? He's really not a bad kind of guy." She... was starting to repeat herself.
"This was just... a mistake in timing." Really, no one would have batted an eye if he'd just waited until a decent hour. Come to think of it... why hadn't he? Wasn't it strange?
no subject
Oh no, he wasn't going to leave just because this crazy woman was telling him to. So she had a problem with keeping her nose out of others business, that wasn't his deal. He was hear to do one thing and he wasn't finished yet.
"I'm not going to talk to you about something that doesn't concern her while she's still here. I woke her up, if he doesn't stop glaring at me I'll put her back to sleep myself." Oh yes, he just threatened you.
no subject
"And yet he's threatening me," she said, almost incredulous. "He didn't do any harm? Not a bad kind of guy? What do you call that? I don't trust him alone with you, Ami."
Where was her bow and arrow when she needed it?
no subject
... Great. Now she sounded like the loud, upset one. She gave a small sigh, and apologized.
"I'm sorry. But please. Yelling at each other and threatening each other won't accomplish anything!"
no subject
"If I wanted to do anything wrong to her, I would have done it all ready. Obviously, you're too stupid to listen. We were talking before you interrupted and if you just give us ten damned minutes, I'll get out."
He just needed to make sure he could settle this. At least for now. He wouldn't be able to sleep if he didn't talk to her.
"Just ten minutes."
no subject
"Fine. Ten minutes," she agreed, but if she heard a suspicious noise of any kind--
She frowned again and stalked off back towards her room without closing the door. If they wanted privacy, they could close it. If not, she would be listening very carefully and this time she would bring her bow if she had to.
no subject
"She was only doing it for my sake," she said quietly to soothe him. "She thought there was trouble, so she came to help me. I'm sorry it turned out like that in the end."
"It was just a misunderstanding."
no subject
"You know I wouldn't hurt you, right? Sure, I'll tell you when you're acting like an idiot but I wouldn't physically cause you any harm. Your friend is a little insane."
He took a few steps closer. "I don't want to talk about her, though. We were on something. You said you needed time but can I still see you? Tomorrow? I'll obviously give you some time to sleep but I really want to see you tomorrow."
no subject
I suppose... that is, I'd like to...
no subject
That's good. I'll see you tomorrow then.
