WHO: Lenalee and Kanda
LOCATION: Destiny Islands
TIME: Friday Morning
WHAT: Shopping time!
RATING: G - PG (Kanda's attitude.)
How exactly she had managed to get Kanda to go on this trip with her was something that even Lenalee didn't know the answer to. She wasn't about to argue or question her luck anyway, being more than happy to have the grumpy boy's company on this shopping trip. They needed a few things for the apartment, and if they did end up moving sometime soon they were going to need even more things.
As it was, Lenalee was currently peering rather closely at a list that she held in one hand, her other holding a pen to mark out "towels" on the rather long, but nearly half completed list. Of course, all of these things were essentials, and finding the items that were the most cost efficient had been a chore.
"I think that takes care of almost everything we need for the bathroom. We have a few things for the main room and then groceries left." She paused, turning back to look at her companion. "Is there anything you can think of that we're missing, Kanda?" She knew he was probably more than ready to get back to his own business but it was best to get this all done in one swoop. She knew she would never manage to get either him or Allen out on multiple trips.

Walking closely behind Lenalee carrying their purchased items, he eyed the things they passed curiously. He had been working a few jobs and had ended up with a good sum of munny so, in this case, being the spender he was kind of needed at these things.
"I can't think of anything." He responded. "Do you want something? We still have some munny left."

"Hm. No. I think we've gotten everything on the list." She takes a moment to look thoughtful. "Though, if we have extra we could probably put it towards getting some extra food." It was amusing to her just how much of their budget actually went to food.

"We can." But that wasn't what he meant when he asked her if she wanted anything. "Are you sure you don't want something?"

Oh! A smattering of realization splashed over her face after a moment. She laughed, reaching over to pat the side of Kanda's arm. "Nothing that's important enough to spend money on now when we ought to be saving up money if we can, right?"
Of course there were things she might have wanted for herself, but not badly enough to spend the money Kanda worked hard to earn.

"I wouldn't be asking you if you wanted something if I didn't have the extra money. I'm not an idiot."
If Lenalee wasn't going to choose for herself he would do it for her. He led her to another stand, it had a lot of shiny little things, girly looking crap. He looked around, picked up a weird bracelet, put it back down.
"Go crazy."

"Kanda... Are you feeling all right?" She glances at the dark haired man, finally letting go of his hand to step toward the counter to look. "This really isn't necessary."

He was in a weird mood, to start with. After his talk with Allen he had also realized he hadn't exactly treated Lenalee well. He hadn't thought of her as much as he should have in the first place. But, after all, he hadn't thought of anyone. He hadn't thought, period. This wasn't exactly a way to make things better but it was a start? He was thinking about something other than himself.
"It's either this or I buy myself a new coat."

She turned back to kanda, holding the barettes in her hands for him to inspect. "Well, what do you think of these then?" Her hair wasn't nearly long enough for the special bands she'd been given back on the boat on their way to Edo, but for her shoulder length hair now, these would be perfect.

Was he supposed to say they were pretty or that they would look good on her? If he was, he wasn't going to. They weren't hideous and he figured she's always liked her share of green things to begin with. He reached into his pocket balancing all their purchased items with one arm before passing her some munny.
"That should be enough."

"Thank you, Kanda. It means a lot." She stepped forward, stretching up onto her toes to press her lips to his cheek in a quick gesture of thanks. "You're sweet, when you want to be." She added, the words colored with an air of laughter. Without waiting for Kanda's reaction, she stepped off to go pay for the barrettes, obviously amused.

"What was that for?" He had too much troubles with females as of late, he was just starting to wonder why he was around them in the first place. Somehow the black order and its male population was undoubtedly missed.
