[ in the spirit of halloween, masane had gone out in costume and pestered the poor residents of traverse town for candy and other sweet treats. it's what the holiday was about, after all... or at least what it had become about. but that didn't matter! because as the day drew to a close she couldn't help but squeal in absolute delight. ]

[ she was finally going to get to go there and on the best possible night. she'd told everybody to meet up at the traverse town gummi docks at six, sharp, and as it drew closer to time she scrambled to get ready. it was almost a relief, actually, that she didn't have to bother with a costume... though she was still scared skeptical about the town choosing it. oh well--! yolo. ]

[ panting as she reached the dock, she meandered over to a bench to sit. hopefully everybody would arrive soon so they could start the fun! ]

[It wasn't easy luring Kaname out for social activities but he'd received an invitation he hadn't been able to refuse. The question being, where was Pegasus? Fully aware of Halloween Town's peculiar nature of selecting costumes for visitor's, he wasn't surprised when his clothes changed on arrival but was not in a hurry to see just what he'd become. He was just grateful that it had selected an ensemble that was none too revealing, his tastes tended to lean toward conservative fashions.]

Strange- this isn't the same outfit as before...

[Apparently with it the holiday, the Town was feeling a bit more whimsical with the selection process. Adorned with a fedora and a pinstriped suit, Kaname was dressed As a gangster .

Kaname, folded his arms and watched as others filed off the Gummi ships. As far as he could tell Pegasus hadn't been among that crowd. Perhaps he should start asking around.]

[Really, Pegasus was not trying to be elusive, but it turns out being in the midst of a busy town on Halloween night can get you a little tied up….Especially when there are certain perverted creepers running about trying to get you into their grasp. Literally.

So admittedly, it takes him a little while to find his way away and through the crowd without tripping on his sparkling red gown. Had to be delicate about these things.

Plus running around in said high-slitted dress and heels aren't exactly the most fast way to travel. Not exactly practical either.

For a moment he forgot all about the costumes once he managed to spot Kaname off in the distance by his lonesome and proceeded to approach him like normal. Albeit with a very flushed face, his face still burning from his earlier encounter. As it was, he probably looked not quite himself, in more ways than one! He didn't give it much thought for the moment, however.]

[Kaname hadn't really been expecting this crowd himself, but apparently this holiday was fairly popular somewhere. He definitely couldn't fault Pegasus for getting displaced in all this. In the meantime, he watches a pair of children playing around the fountain in the town square. Their giggling and happy exclamations diminished some of the ghoulish ambiance.

That's not the sort of outfit, Kaname would have ever envisioned for Pegasus, needless to say when he first catches sight of his friend he doesn't realize it. The traces of a sweet perfume were masking the usual telltale scents that would have given him away immediately.

Whoever this lady was, she was approaching him. Standing up straighter, he prepared to answer any sort of question the lady might have. There was something about her features that made her look troubled. Had the locale creatures of the night spooked her? Little did she know she was rushing towards a perhaps even more fearsome monster.. the type that could blend in to normal society]

[Kaname found himself saying. The voice was more masculine than feminine, but... he still hadn't jumped to the conclusion that this was in fact Pegasus]

Perhaps you have me confused with someone.. Mi- [Trailing off.. there was something quite familiar about this woman or... man.] Pegasus? Is that- you? [He didn't even know what to think. Apparently not everyone had been so fortunate when they were given their costumes. Pegasus.. didn't seem all that upset by it but maybe that's why the hint of color was still on his cheeks. Did he even want to know what had happened?]

[Needless to say he's a tiny bit exasperated about the whole affair, but he'll manage if it meant having someone to commiserate his "woes" with. Not that he's miffed about being mistaken for a lady on Halloween night. That's only to be expected, if he's running about in Jessica Rabbit's attire.

He stops dead in his tracks several feet from his friend, realizing…That he must have appeared quite different to his dear friend to evoke such a response. That and, Kaname himself looked…Well, unusually dressed himself. Pinstripe wasn't exactly a fashion nowadays. A, er, old-fashioned look that wasn't all that bad given the fedora. At least he looked rather sharp. Still, it was quite different from what he was used to.]

Oh my~ Well, Kaname-san I never thought you'd actually take me for a lady. Yes, it's me.

[His hand is placed on his hip, a smirk on his lips. Evidently this costume was convincing. Moreso than he originally thought. But yes, what was he going on about again?]

Ah…Yes. Er, well this strange man dressed as Mister Hyde practically molested me on the way over. Oh, it was so awful…and forward. I don't think I've ever encountered someone so willing to invade my personal space before!

Well anyways, I'm here now. That's the important thing, right? Oh, I'm so happy to see a familiar face.

[At least he's not squeezing you to death in a hug right now. But he badly wants someone to hang onto or protect him from…perverted influences.]
