[ in the spirit of halloween, masane had gone out in costume and pestered the poor residents of traverse town for candy and other sweet treats. it's what the holiday was about, after all... or at least what it had become about. but that didn't matter! because as the day drew to a close she couldn't help but squeal in absolute delight. ]

[ halloween town! ]

[ she was finally going to get to go there and on the best possible night. she'd told everybody to meet up at the traverse town gummi docks at six, sharp, and as it drew closer to time she scrambled to get ready. it was almost a relief, actually, that she didn't have to bother with a costume... though she was still scared skeptical about the town choosing it. oh well--! yolo. ]

[ panting as she reached the dock, she meandered over to a bench to sit. hopefully everybody would arrive soon so they could start the fun! ]

[She didn't wait to see if he complied before spinning around and knocking on the door. When the resident opened the door, Washu employed a sickly sweet childlike tone as she said] Trick or Treat~ [The ghoul that answered looked between them and started doling out the candy. Washu caught her share in the aforementioned veil. It was like a tiny hammock! For candy!]

Then you do this at every door.

[ he really has no idea why she would give him such an odd instruction, but it's harmless enough so he complies. And then she knocks on the door and... HOSHIT SOME SORT OF MONSTER HANG ON LET HIM PREPARE TO PUNCH- wait wait... it's giving them candy. Candy.

That was seriously a thing that just happened.

So let me get this strait. You just walk up to door. Knock. And the person inside just gives you candy. No questions asked.

Washu managed to keep her jovial demeanor the whole time the monster was present, as if it was the most normal thing in the world. After the door closed, she turned towards him]

[Maybe it was a little condescending but she didn't really mean anything by it. Sometimes it was hard to shake that Professor-tone-of-voice. She used to be a teacher in Japan.]
