Into the Dragon's Lair, So to speak...

WHO: Everyone.
LOCATION: The World That Never Was.
TIME: RIGHT NOW!
WHAT: An attack is finally being launched on Maleficent's turf to try and take her down.
RATING: We'll see-- probably a PG-13 at least for lots of violence.

Here is how this is going to work!

• There is NO TAGGING ORDER, especially with groups so large. It's important that we keep each thread rolling, so don't worry about sticking with a particular order. Post whenever you can!

• Each group is going to be lead along by the mods. We have particular things planned for each group, which means the threads should be kept moving. We're not going to rush anything, but we will move things along ourselves if a group hits a snag.

• There is a OOC plotting post for this. Use it! Coordinating between players and your group-mates is a very good thing. If there's a certain post where people have planned to go next, mention it in an ooc note on the comment preceding it.

• If you missed the chance to sign up for a group, want to participate but didn't want to be in a group, or in general just want to show up and participate in some form, never fear! There's a comment section just for you. We'll figure out something for you.

• For reference: there will be no formal healer group. Instead, the healer group has become support. Each group will have ONE support character who will be tailing their designated group and hopping in to assist and/or heal whenever they deem it necessary. They are as follows:
GROUP 1; Kairi, GROUP 2; Lenalee Lee, GROUP 3; Winry Rockbell, DEMON GROUP; Zelda.

Also! Bear in mind that this attack will last longer than just tonight! Everyone has several days to keep threading. We have specific dates for when each portion of the fight will be taking place. These are just references for when things will be done IN-GAME so that things are fairly spaced out, NOT how fast you have to get them done! Please keep threading even after the date it happens in-game.

"I hope you're not expecting victory to be handed to you," the first young woman said, stepping forward to reveal herself from the shadows with an icy smile. "I am Anemoi, ruler of the winds."

And as if to demonstrate her control over this element, a sharp gust of wind snapped up in the immediate area before dying down in a low howl.

"What a shame. It seems we have ourselves a group of dim-wits and muscleheads, sister," Anemoi remarked, sizing up the group with a look of great disdain. "I wonder if our stipulations are even going to be necessary. It will make this dreadfully easy."

[NEXT RESPONSE: SECOND NPC]

The second shadow emerged from the shadows, her green tinted skin and tattoos appearing muted in the evening light. She calmly regarded her sister for a moment before allowing her golden snake-like eyes flicker over to the people gathered before them. A small smile tugged at her red hued lips.

"Oh, is that all they sent...? I would have thought they might have been smarter." She giggled, lifting her hand to bite down playfully on one of her fingernails."But they are good looking, at least. That's sort of fun, isn't it?"

She paused, her lips curling into a more sinister expression. "I'd love to see their faces twisted in anguish."

A rather demented look of glee flew across Anemoi's face at her sister's remark. She clapped her hands together, eyeing each of the members of the group, thoughts of how she could destroy them whirling through her mind.

"Oh, yes! We shall tear off their limbs and play soccer with their heads," she suggested with a great deal of enthusiasm. Too much enthusiasm, perhaps. She acts as if it's a favorite past-time of hers, the way her disdain has morphed into unbridled excitement while she tries to determine which heads would make the best projectiles.

"Would you like to give them the rules before we play?"

"Oh of course, sister. I don't mind at all. We might as well get this show on the road, right?" Flora clicked her tongue as she stepped further out, spreading her arms open wide in greeting.

"Welcome to the castle. We are the beast's keepers, and before you face him you must each make a choice. But first..." Flora flicks her wrists once, a magical barrier activating around the group and Flora and Anemoi.

"A barrier. You will be unable to pass until you have beaten our pet. I really do doubt you'll be able to, he's such a monstrous thing, it's delightful! You will each pick your fighting method. You can either choose magical means, or physical means. But be warned, supposed heroes, you will not be allowed to change your answer and you will be magically barred from using any opposite oriented abilities once you have chosen."

Well, of course there was a catch. There was always a catch. Obi-Wan didn't bother trying to hide his annoyance. "You weren't here the last time I fought the demon," he remarked suspiciously, looking around their now-closed off battlefield.

They certainly made it a point not to let anyone back out, didn't they?

He considered their rules for a moment, though there wasn't much of a debate for him. He had always been a more aggressive lightsaber-based fighter rather than using the Force. The thought that he might be completely cut off from the Force for the duration of this fight concerned him, but he would still be more useful with a lightsaber than he would with only the Force.

"I choose physical fighting," Obi-Wan decided.

Even while Zelda had tried to keep her distance, she met no success evading the barrier or the stipulations for fighting the beast that guarded this castle. Still, she was here to support the team and she could not do that outside the barrier.

Her decision was also simple, for her own physical combat was currently limited to a modest bow and a quiver of arrows, and her healing abilities, as well as her primary combat abilities, were magical.

"I choose magic."

Oz knew one thing was for sure, he didn't have magic in his body, the only thing he had was a scythe. The boy knew he couldn't use it even if he wanted it. It was Alice's and he promised he would never use for himself. So gripping his sword, Oz looked on in determination, there was only one option for him and it was the only means he had of fighting either way.

If he lost that he would be more than useless. "I choose physical fighting. A poor little boy like me doesn't have a single piece of magic in his body after all."

Allen looked rather surprised. He could only choose one. In his head he just has his innocence but behind that, he was certain that the abilities he uses would count towards the magic side of things. So if he gave that up he's lose his innocence, which he used for physical fighting and if he fave up the magic part, he'd have no abilities behind it, except his cowl defense, which wasn't magic when it was physically there to begin with.

Kneeling down to the floor, Allen started to ponder the positives and negatives until he could finally make up his mind, it was a lose/lose situation, but Allen knew there was only one choice he had. So standing up he glances over holding up his claw, a slight smirk on his face.

"I think I choose having a good old physical brawl."

This was definitely a predicament if he'd ever seen one. Despite what trials and endeavors a jedi might face, there were never magical beasts or treacherous sisters with their own means of nullifying powers. This concept was new to this particular jedi and he wasn't sure how well he fared making a decision that could harm his padawan and their comrades. He turned to Obi-Wan knowing his padawan would resort to physical strength but it was quite unfortunate to see only one 'magic' user in the group.

The decision he had to make now was which ability would better suit this group. Sure, he was a very very skilled jedi master with a light-saber but there were advantages to using the force. A man as in-tuned as he to the living force couldn't ignore its necessity in a fight like this. Being this close to the source of darkness, he could better note the changes in intentions and despite his great skills in combat, he could very well manage to be a lethal threat with the force. Mind made up and with only mild weariness of whether he would be lamenting his decision or not, he placed his saber's hilt back in his holster.

"I choose the force."

The girls sure did a lot of talking but, as always, Dante hadn't listened. There was something about pain and anguish on people's faces from what he had caught in their conversation but he hadn't quite paid much attention to the barrier thing and the fact he had to choose. Why were evil women so damned hot and partially dressed?!

"What was that about barriers and magic? I didn't really catch that, I was too busy staring at your sisters rack." He grinned turning to the group of men around him figuring someone would at least understand where he was coming from. "Don't get me wrong, I like the green color of your skin. It's very... trek-y."

Dante's best method for dealing with a problem was never taking things seriously. Clearly, he wasn't feeling at all concerned that they wouldn't be able to win.

Nero was disappointed. He signed up to fight some big ass monster. Not two girls. They also talked waaaaay to much too. By the end of their spiel he was gripping the hilt of Red Queen so tightly it was surprising his knuckles didn't go white, and there was no way he could hide the irritation on his face and in his voice.

"Physical fighting for me," he snapped when given the chance. He didn't know a lick of magic, and if some of the abilities his evil Bringer possessed could be considered magical in nature... well he'd do fine enough without them, he was a brawler at heart.

And also... just because he'd been ignoring the issue for so long already... he couldn't help but just... reach over and punch Dante's arm. Goddammit, stop being distracted over there. Those boobs are evil.

Nero's punch on his arm made him chuckle. Clearly, his little descendent understood where he was coming from. Those boobs were evil but they were boobs, Dante was a free spirit who didn't discriminate.

"Since everyone else is acting way too serious, I'll bite. I'll take my devil trigger to the fight if everyone here can keep a secret. I'm talkin' to you Oz and Allen. What happens in hell stays in hell."

As much as Dante could take on a brawler's stance, he had a feeling he was going to need a little more than just his usual bad-assery. If Nero really was part of the Sparda bloodline, then someone had to be the tank. For once, he actually wished Vergil was here. Only that bastard knew how to seal demons away. Dante figured in his devil triggered form, if things came to that, he would just have to improvise. He didn't let his group see his nerves, however. Instead, he merely grabbed to pull his sword out.

"Let's rock!"

Even Allen had to admit, Dante seemed to have moments of what he figured was inappropriate at the time and staring at an enemies rack just happened to be one of those moments. But choosing to ignore it for now and instead focus on pulling the sword from his arm so he at least had a weapon at the ready and possibly the better one of the two.

Glancing over though, being told to keep a secret was something Allen wasn't overly use to much, but never the less he nodded slightly, agree to keep whatever it was zipped up tight. Now all that he had left to do was wait for the sisters to do something.
